1/2 cup sunflower kernels
6 cups small broccoli florets
Salt to taste
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 cup mayonnaise
1 tablespoon vinegar
1/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup raisins
At first, bring a large saucepan of salted water. Add the broccoli to the saucepan. Boil broccoli until bright green and slightly softened for about 3 minutes. Stop cooking and drain well. Run the broccoli under cold water and drain again.
Mix the vinegar, onion, mayonnaise, sugar and raisins in a mixing bowl. Add this mixture to the broccoli and toss this to mix well. Just before servings, fold in the sunflower kernels and then serve.

1 cup cheddar cheese

1 cup milk
1 cup chicken broth
Take a small saucepan and fry the onion in butter until tender. Add flour, salt and pepper to it. Stir continuously until blended. Add milk and broth. Cook and stir until thickened for about 2 minutes. Then, add broccoli. Cook and stir until heated. Remove from the heat and then stir in cheese until melted. Serve warm.

1 pound broccoli florets
1/2 cup low-sodium soy sauce
1 tablespoon minced fresh ginger
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1/4 cup cornstarch
2 cloves garlic, minced
3 tablespoons olive oil
1/4 cup beef broth
Salt to taste
In a bowl, pour half of the liquid over the sliced meat in a bowl. Mix together the soy sauce, cornstarch, sherry, brown sugar, ginger and garlic in another bowl. Then, pour the mixture into the meat and toss it with your hands.
Heat the oil in a skillet. Add the broccoli and stir for a minute. Remove it to a plate. Allow the skillet to get hot again. Add the meat in a single layer and cook until the meat is brown. After cooking the meat, Remove it to a clean plate.
Pour the reserved sauce and the beef broth into the skillet. Cook over high heat until it starts to thicken. Add the meat and broccoli into the skillet and toss to with your hand. Season with salt. Then Serve.
